Anne Phung Nguyen

Hello, my name is Anne Phung Nguyen and I am an Vietnamese American entrepreneur residing in gorgeous Orange County California with my wonderful fianc JP and my happy-go-lucky Dad Henry. Most people are familiar with me from my Instagram @annephung. I record my personal life: highs and lows, as well as everything inbetween. In 1990 I moved to America along with my parents and brother at the age of one and half. Without my parents' passion for perseverance and sacrifice it is likely that I would not be with you sharing my story. My parents were my inspiration and helped me to become successful. I believed my life would be the same way as I graduated from university, be offered an employment opportunity in the corporate world, then marry and begin a family. My goal was to go to college, graduate and get a corporate job. I would then marry, buy a house and start a family. However, life was not so sure. In 2013, I found it difficult to accept my job. While the pay and position was good, I didn't feel like the work was satisfying. It was more like I was just spending my time. As I navigated my way through a different job, I realized that I was meant to work as personal trainer. I enjoyed working out, I liked being social and I enjoy helping people. This year I'll be celebrating the 7th year anniversary of my business. In 2014, I started my own small business. Very few Asian women work in the world of fashion. It is my goal to be a positive influencer within the field to offer quality coaching to empower others to become a healthier and happier individual by developing an environment that is sustainable and meets their individual goals and needs. In addition, I strive to inspire others to pursue their goals and dreams so that they can achieve what they would like to accomplish. While my professional life was taking off, I was struck by one of the biggest losses in my life to datethat of losing my Mom. Her battle for 8 years with Scleroderma has ended and she is now in Heaven. She will always be in my heart and mind. If you don't realize it initially, the universe can be a bit elusive in offering us the things we require. The passing of my mother changed me in so many ways. I believe my mom gave me a second chance at life through her passing. She passed away on Tet/Lunar New Year Day it was her time to start her new life, and also for me to have my second chance to live an enjoyable, fulfilling and meaningful life. In my 30's, it is the first moment that I feel as if that I'm alive. When I share my experience, I hope that my story will be a source of inspiration for yours. It is my wish to aid you in understanding that you're not alone. That you have the capacity to succeed in whatever you want to achieve. I pray that you live your life to the fullest and that you die without regrets as death is the only thing promised to us in our life.
